For the first project in my Rapid Prototyping class at SCAD, I designed and manufactured a functional, custom-themed screwdriver using professional mold-making and casting techniques. The process began with over 20 sketches, which I narrowed down to five low-density foam models for peer feedback. After selecting a final design, I developed a refined medium-density master model, finished it with filler primer, and created a silicone mold. I then cast the final handle in resin, choosing a Galaxy theme to reflect my personal interest in space. I integrated a universal shank to create a fully functional, ergonomic tool.
